Friends groups

Julia’s House supporter groups allow the charity to reach much further into the community than otherwise would be possible.

The groups can be as formal or informal as the people involved wish them to be and all are extremely sociable. The events held by the friends groups make a big difference to the charity’s income and the members act as ambassadors to the charity in their own communities.

If you would like to help Julia's House care for children with life-limited and life-threatened illnesses, then why not become a friend or join a Friends Group in your local area?

A Friends Group is about....

  • RAISING MONEY to provide care and support to life-threatened children and their families
  • SOCIALISING and having fun! Young, old or somewhere inbetween, it's good to be involved and make new friends.
  • ADDING TO YOUR EXPERIENCES which may be helpful to add to your CV if you are seeking employment
  • AN AMBASSADOR for Julia's House. Helping us to be seen and heard right across Dorset.
  • REPRESENTING Julia's House at events, receiving donations/collection boxes, etc
  • REWARDING local families who have a really tough time
  • SPREADING THE WORD to every corner of Dorset. We aim to have supporter groups everywhere.
  • The EYES and EARS of Julia's House in your local community. You may be the link to other groups such as golf clubs, gyms, schools or other community groups or businesses.
  • A SCOUT. You may know of premises which could be used for another shop.

Below are details of the existing Friends groups we have and contact details if you would like to find out more. Or call the office in Broadstone on 01202 607400.
